Mickey Mouse Classic

Did you know that Mickey Mouse was one of the key figures that kept America going during the Depression? Although the cartoons were all low budget at that time because there was obviously very little money readily available, but Mickey went on. He continued to entertain the masses and became one of the staple of the movies entertainment available. It was unfortunate that Mickey couldn’t reach everybody at that time, but he remained an American hero throughout.

Minnie Mouse Bio

Minnie portrait

Minnie Mouse is one of the most recognisable figures in Disney history but often takes to the shadows simply because Mickey, her beloved boyfriend of almost 80 years, takes the limelight. However, there is more to Minnie Mouse than meets the eye.

Minnie has starred in 78 cartoons with Mickey Mouse and is synonymous with Disney. She actually had the year 1996 dedicated to her to make sure that she was recognised for her achievements, but that was a rarity. If you want more information on Min nie Mouse and want to give her the fame that she thoroughly deserves, go to  http://disney.go.com/vault/archives/characterstandard/minnie/minnie.html for a closer look at her!

Steamboat

Steamboat Willie is one of Mickey Mouse’s most famous characters and comes from one of his earliest films. If you haven’t seen it, you really should. This was before Mickey could talk. However, those of you interested in the history of Mickey should take a look at http://www.socialstudiesforkids.com/articles/ushistory/mickeymouse.htm. This webpage is a part of a children’s education program and will be perfect for engaging your children from an early age. Take a look and see what you think, but I personally think it’s perfect for education.
